Growing up, without getting old – Sendify’s rebranding

Motion. That is the word that made us change Sendify’s visual identity in January 2022. In this interview with Oscar Lund, Head of Design at Sendify, you will learn why and how our visual identity was born out of motion, and why the rebranding is a way for Sendify to grow up, without getting old.

Oscar, what is a brand and rebranding?

Simply put, a brand is how someone or something is interpreted by others, and a rebranding is a way to change that interpretation. Think of it in terms of a person. A person is interpreted by the way they look, talk and behave. Their brand. As a person grows up, they tend to explore different styles and ways to express themselves, to find out who they really are. Their rebranding. It’s the same for companies: As a company grows and learns about itself, it wants the looks and expressions to represent that growth. Their identity.

Why did we decide to rebrand Sendify?

As a company and as a brand, Sendify has been on a journey of self exploration. We have tried different styles: The colorful, the monochrome, the playful, and the serious. During this journey of self exploration, we have not only learned more about what Sendify really is all about, but we have also experienced a massive growth within the organization, in our customer base and with additional markets. With this growth, we saw a rising need for clarity and consistency for our brand. To redefine who we are, both towards ourselves and towards our growing customer base.

What is the vision behind the brand?

Our goal with the rebranding was clear from the start, to grow up without getting old. Maturing without losing touch of where we once started – as a challenger. As we examined our past, present and future, we found one word that represented our vision of what has been, what is and what will become. Motion. For us motion tells more than only one story. Motion is growing. Motion is challenging. Motion is making things happen. Motion is being part of a movement. Motion is getting things from point A to point B. Motion is Sendify. Our new visual identity is born out of motion and the signs are everywhere.

What can customers expect from it?

With the new brand, the customer offer will remain the same, whilst at the same time continuously evolve. We will still offer market leading shipping rates, but at the same time work together with our customers to improve those rates. We will still offer an easy to use logistics platform, but at the same time continue to improve and build out the functionality of the platform. Sendify will remain the partner you know and trust, but always be in motion, to ensure that we offer the number one logistics service, and to prove our legacy as a challenger.
